Job Summary


UrbanWear Retail is looking for a customer-obsessed Retail Sales Assistant to deliver outstanding in‑store experiences, drive sales, and represent our brand culture on the shop floor. You’ll combine product knowledge, styling confidence, and operational discipline to ensure every shopper leaves feeling inspired—and returns as a loyal customer. This is a hands-on role that involves clienteling, visual merchandising, inventory handling, and seamless use of POS/omni-channel tools.




Key Responsibilities



  • Customer Experience & Sales



    • Greet, engage, and build rapport with customers; identify needs and recommend outfits, sizes, and accessories.

    • Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets, conversion rates, and average transaction value (ATV).

    • Actively participate in add-on and cross-selling to maximize basket size.



  • Product & Brand Representation



    • Maintain deep knowledge of collections, fits, fabrics, trends, and brand stories to educate customers.

    • Uphold visual merchandising standards (VM), replenishment, and window/display execution as per guidelines.



  • Store Operations



    • Process transactions accurately using POS systems, handle returns/exchanges, and follow cash management procedures.

    • Support stock receiving, tagging, transfers, cycle counts, and shrinkage control.

    • Keep fitting rooms and sales floor neat, safe, and fully stocked.



  • Omni-Channel & Loyalty



    • Promote and enroll customers into loyalty programs; capture accurate customer data for CRM.

    • Facilitate click & collect, endless aisle, and other omni-channel services.



  • Loss Prevention & Compliance



    • Follow SOPs for loss prevention, health & safety, and data protection.

    • Report anomalies, incidents, or maintenance needs promptly.



  • Teamwork & Culture



    • Collaborate with colleagues to hit team KPIs.

    • Participate in briefings, trainings, and performance feedback sessions.






Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.

  • Confidence in styling, trend awareness, and product demonstration.

  • Comfortable using POS systems, basic Excel/Google Sheets, and mobile retail apps.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Basic math and cash-handling proficiency.

  • Professional grooming and an energetic, positive attitude.




Experience



  • 0–2 years of retail/customer service experience (fashion/apparel preferred).

  • Freshers with strong passion for fashion and customer service are encouraged to apply.

  • Prior exposure to visual merchandising, CRM/loyalty programs, or inventory control is a plus.




Working Hours



  • Shift-based schedule, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

  • Typical weekly hours: Full-time (36–48 hours/week); part-time options may be considered based on store needs.

  • Overtime/extended hours may be required during promotions, season launches, and peak periods.




Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)



  • Product Knowledge: Fabrics, fits, sizing, and current fashion trends.

  • Sales Techniques: Consultative selling, upselling, cross-selling, and objection handling.

  • Operational Know-how: Stockroom best practices, POS accuracy, shrink control, and VM execution.

  • People Skills: Empathy, active listening, conflict resolution, and cultural sensitivity.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand for extended periods, move stock, and handle light to moderate lifting (as per safety guidelines).

  • Adaptability: Quick learner, resilient under pressure, and open to feedback.
