Job Summary

Velocity eCommerce, a leading online learning platform, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Academic Admin Assistant to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting academic operations, coordinating student and instructor activities, and ensuring seamless administrative processes. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about contributing to the growth of online education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain student records, course schedules, and academic documentation.

  • Assist instructors with course materials, virtual classroom setup, and grading processes.

  • Coordinate communication between students, faculty, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Track academic deadlines, exam schedules, and assessment submissions.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and spreadsheets related to student progress and course metrics.

  • Support onboarding of new students and instructors by providing guidance on platform usage.

  • Address student queries promptly through email, chat, or ticketing systems.

  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive academic information.

  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Experience

  • Freshers are welcome to apply; 1–2 years of experience in academic administration, customer support, or related fields is advantageous.

  • Experience in online education platforms or e-learning operations is a strong plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time remote role

  • Flexible working hours with availability to attend virtual meetings during standard business hours (Monday–Friday).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality output.

  • Familiarity with online communication tools such as Zoom, Teams, or Slack.

  • Capacity to adapt quickly to new processes and technologies.

  • Empathy and patience in dealing with students and instructors.
