Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is seeking a highly strategic and forward-thinking AI Ethics & Governance Lead to design, implement, and oversee ethical frameworks that guide the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring that our AI systems align with global regulatory standards, industry best practices, and societal values.

As the AI Ethics & Governance Lead, you will work at the intersection of technology, policy, risk, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with engineering, legal, compliance, product, and executive teams to ensure that ethical considerations are embedded into every stage of the AI lifecycle—from research and design to deployment and monitoring.

This is a fully remote role, offering the opportunity to influence high-impact AI initiatives on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the company-wide AI ethics and governance strategy in alignment with business objectives.

  • Establish ethical AI frameworks, policies, and guidelines for responsible AI development and usage.

  • Ensure compliance with global AI regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, AI Act, ISO standards, industry policies).

  • Conduct ethical risk assessments and algorithmic impact assessments for AI systems.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to embed fairness, transparency, explainability, and accountability into AI models.

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on AI ethics, governance, and responsible innovation.

  • Design governance structures, review boards, and escalation processes for AI-related decisions.

  • Monitor emerging AI regulations, ethical trends, and policy developments worldwide.

  • Lead internal training programs and awareness initiatives on responsible AI practices.

  • Act as a liaison with regulators, partners, and external stakeholders on AI governance matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning systems, and data governance.

  • Deep knowledge of AI ethics principles, responsible AI frameworks, and regulatory landscapes.

  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into policy and governance structures.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Experience in policy development, compliance, risk management, or technology governance.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a global, remote environment.

  • High ethical standards and strong commitment to responsible innovation.

Experience

  • Minimum 6–10 years of experience in AI governance, technology policy, compliance, data ethics, or related fields.

  • Prior experience in a leadership or advisory role within tech, consulting, legal, or regulatory environments.

  • Demonstrated experience working with AI systems, digital transformation initiatives, or emerging technologies.

  • Experience engaging with regulators, auditors, or governance bodies is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, remote position.

  • Flexible working hours with core collaboration overlap based on global team needs.

  • Occasional participation in virtual international meetings across different time zones.
