Job Summary

Prime Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled AutoCAD Draftsman to support our engineering and design teams in creating accurate technical drawings, plans, and layouts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D drawings, interpreting engineering specifications, and ensuring that all designs meet applicable standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project specifications.

• Prepare technical drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts for engineering projects.

• Revise and update drawings based on engineering feedback or design changes.

• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness of all drafted documents.

• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for easy retrieval.

• Assist in preparing material estimates, technical reports, and design documentation when required.

• Follow industry standards, safety codes, and drafting best practices.

• Support the engineering team during project planning, execution, and review stages.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and other CAD software.

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, measurements, and scale.

• Good knowledge of drafting techniques and industry standards.

• Ability to interpret technical specifications and construction documents.

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and visualization skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, CAD Operator, or similar role.

• Experience in civil, mechanical, electrical, or architectural drafting (based on project type) is preferred.

• Freshers with strong AutoCAD proficiency may also be considered.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.

• Standard working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

• Occasional overtime may be required based on project timelines.
