Job Summary
Ola Electric is seeking a highly skilled Battery Management System (BMS) Design Engineer to join our cutting-edge EV technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of advanced BMS solutions for electric vehicles, ensuring optimal battery performance, longevity, and safety. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement Battery Management Systems for electric vehicles.

Create and validate BMS algorithms for state-of-charge (SOC), state-of-health (SOH), and battery cell balancing.

Conduct simulation, testing, and performance analysis of BMS hardware and software.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, mechanical, and production engineering to integrate BMS into EV systems.

Troubleshoot and optimize existing BMS architectures to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations for battery systems.

Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and project updates for stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.

Strong understanding of battery chemistry, cell characteristics, and battery pack architecture.

Proficiency in BMS design tools, MATLAB/Simulink, and embedded systems programming (C/C++).

Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Modbus.

Experience in battery testing, calibration, and validation methods.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Experience

3–6 years of relevant experience in BMS design and development, preferably in the electric vehicle or energy storage sector.

Hands-on experience with EV battery packs and real-time embedded systems is highly desirable.
Working Hours

Standard full-time working hours with flexibility to meet project deadlines.

Occasional extended hours may be required for testing, validations, and project milestones.
