Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Biotech Data Scientist to join our remote genomic research team. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analytics, machine learning, and bioinformatics to drive insights from complex genomic datasets. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and biological insights.

• Develop and implement machine learning models and predictive algorithms for genomic research and drug discovery applications.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, and software engineers to integrate data and refine research methodologies.

• Design, validate, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines and data processing workflows.

• Prepare detailed reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and scientific literature in genomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology.

• Ensure data integrity, reproducibility, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards in research practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia.

• Strong experience with bioinformatics tools, genomic databases, and statistical modeling.

• Expertise in machine learning, data mining, and computational modeling applied to biological data.

• Familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and genomic variant interpretation.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to synthesize complex biological and computational information.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting scientific findings.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, or data science within a biotechnology or research setting.

• Hands-on experience with genomic research projects, including NGS data analysis, RNA-seq, or proteomics, is highly desirable.

• Experience working in remote or distributed research teams is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position with flexible working hours.
