Job Summary
Cigna is seeking dedicated and customer-focused Member Services Representatives to join our remote team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our members, assisting them with inquiries related to healthcare plans, benefits, claims, and account management. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service that enhances the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities

Respond to member inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding benefits, claims, and coverage details.

Provide clear, accurate, and empathetic support to resolve customer issues effectively.

Assist members with account navigation, billing questions, and service requests.

Document all customer interactions accurately in the system for future reference.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of member concerns.

Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Cigna’s internal policies for data security and confidentiality.

Educate members about healthcare resources, preventive care options, and available services.

Handle escalated concerns with professionalism, patience, and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in computer systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, solution-driven customer support.

Fluency in English (additional languages are an asset).
Experience

1–2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in healthcare, insurance, or a call center environment.

Previous experience handling high-volume calls and resolving complex issues is highly desirable.
