Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Solutions Architect (Azure) to support large-scale public sector digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure technologies.

You will collaborate closely with government stakeholders, project managers, security teams, and development teams to modernize legacy systems, migrate workloads to the cloud, and build cloud-native solutions that meet compliance and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with strategic thinking and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions for public sector environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure, scalable, and highly available Azure cloud solutions for public sector clients.

• Lead cloud migration strategies including lift-and-shift, refactoring, and modernization of legacy applications.

• Develop reference architectures, solution blueprints, and best practices for Azure deployments.

• Collaborate with development teams to implement cloud-native services, microservices architecture, and containerization strategies.

• Implement governance, compliance, and security frameworks aligned with public sector regulations.

• Design and deploy identity and access management solutions, networking, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Conduct architecture reviews, performance assessments, and cost optimization strategies.

• Document architecture decisions, system designs, and operational procedures.

• Stay updated on emerging Azure technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and services.

• Experience designing cloud solutions for government or regulated environments.

• Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and governance models.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, or enterprise systems engineering.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure solutions architecture.

• Experience working with public sector organizations or large enterprise clients is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience leading cloud migration or digital transformation projects.

Working Hours

• Full-time remote position.

• Standard working hours Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility to collaborate with distributed teams or public sector clients.

• Availability for virtual meetings, project planning sessions, and architecture reviews.
