Job Summary

UnityAid Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Development Coordinator to drive impactful community programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between the organization and local communities, fostering collaboration, identifying community needs, and implementing sustainable development projects. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to social impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement community development programs aligned with UnityAid Services’ mission and objectives.
  • Conduct community assessments to identify needs, gaps, and opportunities for impactful interventions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies, and community leaders.
  • Plan and organize workshops, awareness campaigns, and community events.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Prepare regular reports, proposals, and presentations for management and funding partners.
  • Advocate for community needs and ensure community voices are integrated into program planning.
  • Provide guidance and support to volunteers and field staff involved in community projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Sociology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in community development, social programs, or nonprofit sector.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in conducting community assessments, surveys, and needs analyses.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data collection and reporting tools.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in community development, social work, or NGO program management.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing community programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and volunteer management.

Working Hours

  • Full-time role with flexible working hours, including occasional weekend or evening work for community events and field visits.
  • Remote and on-site work as required.
