Job Summary

GlobalRelief NGO is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Outreach Officer to join our mission-driven team. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between the organization and the communities we serve, ensuring effective program implementation, awareness campaigns, and community engagement. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine commitment to social impact. The Community Outreach Officer will play a critical role in promoting our initiatives, building trust with local stakeholders, and ensuring that our programs create meaningful, measurable change.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor community outreach programs aligned with GlobalRelief NGO’s mission and objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
• Conduct community assessments to identify needs, challenges, and opportunities for intervention.
• Plan and execute awareness campaigns, workshops, and events to engage and educate the community.
• Collect, document, and report data on community engagement activities, program outcomes, and feedback.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of outreach efforts with broader organizational goals.
• Serve as the primary contact for community stakeholders, addressing concerns and facilitating communication.
• Advocate for community needs within the organization and support resource mobilization initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Health, or a related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of community engagement strategies and social development principles.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management tools.
• Fluency in English; additional local languages are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in community outreach, social work, NGO program implementation, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success in organizing community-based programs, campaigns, or events.
• Experience working with diverse communities and vulnerable populations.

Working Hours

• Full-time, with flexibility to work in the field as needed.
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for community events or programs.
• Hybrid schedule: combination of remote and on-site fieldwork depending on project needs.
