Job Summary

Cigna Healthcare is seeking dedicated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Customer Support Associates. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our members, helping them with healthcare-related inquiries, benefits clarification, claims support, and service requests. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility of working from home while contributing to a global leader in healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat.

  • Assist members with understanding healthcare benefits, claims, and coverage details.

  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding healthcare plans and services.

  • Handle and resolve customer complaints with professionalism and empathy.

  • Document all customer interactions in Cigna’s systems accurately.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient issue resolution.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all company policies regarding data security and confidentiality.

  • Strive to exceed service level expectations and contribute to team performance goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Excellent listening, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in computer applications and ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Customer-first mindset with a professional and empathetic approach.

Experience

  • Prior experience in customer service, call center operations, or healthcare support is an advantage but not mandatory.

  • Freshers with strong communication and interpersonal skills are also encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

  • Full-time work-from-home opportunity.

  • Flexible shifts, with availability required to work in rotational shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as per business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance or medical terminology is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
