Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to support our federal contract operations in a fully remote capacity. The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive government systems, networks, and data by monitoring security infrastructure, identifying potential threats, and implementing effective cybersecurity measures.

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will work with a team of experienced IT and security professionals to detect vulnerabilities, analyze security incidents, and ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards and frameworks. This position requires a proactive individual who can operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems, networks, and infrastructure for suspicious activities and security breaches.

  • Analyze security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate appropriate response actions.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with penetration testing activities.

  • Implement and maintain security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and firewall systems.

  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.

  • Document security incidents, findings, and remediation steps in accordance with established policies.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to improve system security architecture and risk management strategies.

  • Assist with security audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.

  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, procedures, and reports.

  • Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of network security, threat detection, and incident response methodologies.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM platforms, firewalls, endpoint detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.

  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards such as NIST frameworks and security compliance guidelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex security data.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity and accountability.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network security roles.

  • Experience supporting government or federal contract environments is highly preferred.

  • Proven experience with incident monitoring, threat analysis, and vulnerability management.

  • Experience working with security monitoring tools and log analysis platforms.

Working Hours

  • Full-time remote position.

  • Standard working schedule of 40 hours per week.

  • May require occasional on-call availability or extended hours to respond to security incidents.

  • Flexible scheduling may be available depending on project requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and system vulnerabilities.

  • Ability to analyze security logs and identify patterns of malicious behavior.

  • Understanding of risk management, compliance requirements, and secure system design.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple security tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams while maintaining strict security protocols.
