Job Summary

AutomateIT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes and Docker to join our dynamic technology team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native infrastructure. You will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, optimize deployment processes, and ensure the reliability of our systems. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about automation, containerization, and modern cloud practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

  • Build and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable software delivery.

  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve operational issues.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to integrate DevOps best practices.

  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency.

  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for production and staging environments.

  • Ensure compliance with security policies, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.

  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide production support and incident resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration concepts.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.

  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and security best practices.

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog.

  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.

  • Proven track record of deploying and managing containerized applications in production environments.

  • Experience in agile software development and cross-functional collaboration.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Flexibility required for occasional on-call support or urgent production issues.
