Job Summary

HireFirst Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Django Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our innovative online job portal platform. This role requires strong expertise in Django, database management, and modern web development practices to ensure seamless functionality, scalability, and a great user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Django and related frameworks.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs to integrate front-end and back-end systems.

• Work closely with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly and responsive web interfaces.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.

• Manage database schemas, queries, and migrations using PostgreSQL/MySQL.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver features.

• Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices.

• Implement third-party integrations such as payment gateways, email systems, and job listing APIs.

• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Django and Python for back-end development.

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, AJAX, and JSON.

• Proficiency in PostgreSQL/MySQL database management.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control.

• Knowledge of security best practices in web applications.

• Ability to write clean, modular, and efficient code.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2–4 years of professional experience in Django-based web development.

• Previous experience in building job portals, e-commerce, or large-scale web applications is preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.

• Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday).

• Flexibility required to meet project deadlines when necessary.

• Remote and hybrid options may be available depending on project requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
