Job Summary:

ReliefConnect NGO is seeking a dedicated and passionate Field Officer to join our dynamic team. The Field Officer will play a pivotal role in implementing, monitoring, and supporting community development projects on the ground. This position requires an individual who can effectively liaise with local communities, government agencies, and partner organizations to ensure the successful execution of NGO initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and committed to making a positive social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor NGO projects in designated field locations.
  • Conduct community assessments and identify local needs for program planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local authorities, and partner organizations.
  • Coordinate field activities with project teams and report progress regularly.
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze field data to evaluate project effectiveness.
  • Assist in organizing community workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports, including field visit summaries, impact assessments, and progress updates.
  • Support project teams in resource mobilization and logistical planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of community development and NGO operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in challenging environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office and basic data management tools.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of fieldwork experience in NGO projects or community development programs.
  • Experience working with local communities and government stakeholders is highly preferred.
  • Prior exposure to project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting is a plus.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time role, with flexibility required to travel to project sites.
  • Typical working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Occasional weekend or evening work may be required depending on field activities.
