Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is seeking a highly strategic and commercially minded Fractional CFO – Remote Growth Consultant for Startups to partner with early-stage and scaling businesses across multiple industries. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance leader who thrives in dynamic startup environments and enjoys driving financial strategy, fundraising readiness, and operational excellence without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.

As a Fractional CFO, you will act as a trusted financial advisor to founders and executive teams, helping them make data-driven decisions, optimize cash flow, improve unit economics, and build investor-ready financial models. You will play a critical role in shaping financial infrastructure, guiding growth strategy, and ensuring financial sustainability as companies scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic financial partner to startup founders, CEOs, and leadership teams.
• Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and long-term business plans.
• Provide insights on revenue growth, cost optimization, pricing strategies, and profitability.
• Lead budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning processes.
• Prepare companies for fundraising by building pitch financials, investor decks, and KPIs.
• Support due diligence processes with investors, VCs, and financial institutions.
• Establish financial controls, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards.
• Advise on capital structure, runway management, and financial risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with operations, product, and sales teams to align financial strategy with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong financial strategy, modeling, and analytical skills.
• Proven experience in startup finance, growth-stage businesses, or venture-backed companies.
• Expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), forecasting, and budgeting.
• Solid understanding of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and scalable business models.
• Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and financial storytelling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with financial tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
• Strong business acumen with a growth-oriented mindset.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, consulting, or corporate finance.
• Prior experience as a CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director, or Senior Finance Consultant.
• Hands-on experience working with startups or high-growth companies is essential.
• Experience supporting multiple clients or portfolio companies is highly preferred.
• Background in investment banking, management consulting, or venture capital is a plus.

Working Hours
