Key Responsibilities

• Edit, proofread, and format captions for video content, ensuring correct grammar, punctuation, timing, and style.

• Review automated or manually created transcripts and correct errors for clarity and comprehension.

• Synchronize captions with audio for smooth readability and viewer engagement.

• Ensure compliance with captioning standards (e.g., FCC, WCAG) and CaptionCraft Studios’ internal guidelines.

• Collaborate with project managers and content teams to meet client expectations.

• Deliver high-quality work within assigned deadlines, maintaining accuracy and consistency across projects.

• Flag inconsistencies, unclear audio, or missing information when necessary.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary and client-specific content.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command of the English language with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

• Proven ability to edit and refine written content with attention to detail.

• Familiarity with captioning tools and software (e.g., Aegisub, Amara, Subtitle Workshop, or similar).

• Ability to follow style guides and adapt to various content formats.

• Strong listening skills, especially for diverse accents and fast-paced dialogue.

• Reliable computer, stable internet connection, and ability to work independently.

Experience

• Prior experience in caption editing, transcription proofreading, media editing, or related work is preferred.

• Experience with accessibility compliance or working with video content is an advantage.

• Freshers with excellent English skills and strong attention to detail may also apply.
