Job Summary
Fresher Jobs Hub is seeking talented and creative Freelance Game Developer Consultants to support end-to-end game design and development initiatives for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for self-driven professionals who are passionate about crafting engaging gameplay experiences, designing innovative mechanics, and delivering high-quality games across multiple platforms. As a consultant, you will collaborate with designers, artists, producers, and stakeholders to transform concepts into polished, market-ready games.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult on game design concepts, mechanics, systems, and player experience.
- Develop and implement gameplay features using industry-standard game engines.
- Translate game design documents into functional, scalable game components.
- Prototype, test, and iterate on gameplay ideas to improve engagement and balance.
- Optimize game performance, stability, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams including artists, UI/UX designers, and sound engineers.
- Provide technical and creative guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot bugs, refine gameplay flow, and support post-launch updates when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in at least one major game engine (Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, or similar).
- Solid programming skills in C#, C++, Python, or other relevant languages.
- In-depth understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and player psychology.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration and client interaction.
Experience
- 1–5+ years of hands-on experience in game development or game design roles.
- Proven portfolio showcasing completed or in-progress games.
- Experience working on casual, hyper-casual, indie, mobile, PC, or console games is preferred.
- Prior freelance or consulting experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
Working Hours
