Job Summary

Rand Water invites recent graduates to apply for the Graduate Development Programme in Information Technology. This structured, 24-month programme offers hands-on experience in IT within the water sector, providing exposure to real-world challenges and opportunities to develop technical and professional competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues.

  • Participate in the design and enhancement of software applications and databases.

  • Contribute to the documentation and reporting of IT processes and procedures.

  • Engage in continuous learning and development activities to stay current with emerging technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A completed Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.

  • Familiarity with database management systems and software development methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience

  • No prior work experience is required; however, any relevant internships or projects undertaken during academic studies will be advantageous.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position with standard working hours.

  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
