Job Summary

CareNova Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our expanding healthcare revenue team. As a Remote Medical Biller, you will be responsible for managing patient billing, submitting accurate claims, following up on denials, and ensuring timely reimbursement. This position is ideal for a skilled medical billing professional who is looking for a high-paying, performance-driven role with long-term remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government payers.

• Verify billing data, correct errors, and ensure all claim information is complete and compliant.

• Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid or rejected claims.

• Resolve billing discrepancies and obtain necessary documentation for claims processing.

• Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile patient accounts.

• Work closely with providers, payers, and internal teams to ensure maximum reimbursement.

• Maintain updated knowledge of billing regulations, coding standards, and payer policies.

• Generate billing reports and maintain detailed documentation for audit purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding of medical billing processes and payer requirements.

• Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.

• Hands-on experience with medical billing software and EHR systems.

• Ability to manage high-volume billing with accuracy and speed.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of professional medical billing experience required.

• Experience in hospital, physician, or specialty billing preferred.

• Prior remote billing experience is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time remote position.

• Flexible schedule with core hours for team collaboration.

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep knowledge of revenue cycle management (RCM).

• Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and follow up accordingly.

• Familiarity with insurance authorizations, denials, appeals, and audits.

• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Strong analytical thinking and number accuracy.
