Job Summary

SecureMalls Inc. is seeking dedicated and vigilant Hospital Security Staff to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and hospital personnel. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a secure environment within the hospital premises, supporting smooth hospital operations, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will combine professionalism, empathy, and strong observational skills to handle security challenges effectively while maintaining a patient-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor hospital premises, including entrances, exits, corridors, parking areas, and sensitive zones to prevent unauthorized access or incidents.

• Ensure patient safety by responding promptly to emergencies, disturbances, or medical alerts.

• Collaborate with hospital staff to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

• Conduct regular security patrols, inspections, and safety checks across all areas of the hospital.

• Assist in managing crowd control during high-traffic periods or hospital events.

• Report security breaches, incidents, or suspicious activities accurately and promptly to supervisors.

• Maintain daily logs, incident reports, and other security documentation as required.

• Support emergency procedures, including evacuation drills, fire alarms, and medical emergencies.

• Uphold hospital policies, confidentiality standards, and patient privacy regulations at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or hospital safety preferred.

• Valid security license or certification where applicable.

• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.

• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful or emergency situations.

• Physical fitness to conduct rounds, patrols, and respond quickly to incidents.

Experience

• Previous experience in hospital, healthcare, or general security preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in emergency response, first aid, or patient care assistance is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time and part-time shifts available, including day, evening, and night rotations.

• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as per hospital operational requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of hospital safety protocols, access control systems, and emergency procedures.

• Ability to handle conflict, diffuse tense situations, and enforce security measures professionally.

• Knowledge of fire safety, basic first aid, and emergency medical procedures.

• Proficiency in security monitoring tools, CCTV systems, and reporting software is a plus.
