We are offering an exciting HVAC Systems Internship for mechanical engineering students eager to gain hands-on industry experience. This role provides exposure to the design, analysis, and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in real-world building projects. The internship is ideal for students who want to build practical skills while working alongside experienced HVAC professionals.

Reports to

The intern will report to the Senior HVAC Engineer / Project Supervisor.

What will you do?

• Assist in HVAC system design, load calculations, and equipment selection.

• Prepare technical drawings, documentation, and specifications.

• Support energy efficiency and sustainability studies for projects.

• Participate in site visits, inspections, and system commissioning activities.

• Conduct research on HVAC technologies, materials, and industry best practices.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects and electrical engineers.

• Maintain project documentation, spreadsheets, and reports.

What are we looking for?

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Basic understanding of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.

• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience with HVAC calculation tools (HAP, TRACE, Carrier E20).

• Knowledge of building codes and energy standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, LEED).

• Prior academic projects or internships related to HVAC.

• Exposure to Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows.
