Job Summary
State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest and most trusted public sector bank, is seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals for the role of Junior Associate – Customer Support & Sales. This position is a frontline role responsible for delivering exceptional banking services to customers, handling day-to-day branch operations, and supporting sales and service initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service at branch counters.
- Handle cash transactions, deposits, withdrawals, remittances, and clearing operations.
- Assist customers with account opening, KYC compliance, and documentation.
- Promote and cross-sell SBI products such as savings accounts, fixed deposits, loans, insurance, and digital banking services.
- Address customer queries, complaints, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Support branch operations including record maintenance, data entry, and reconciliation.
- Ensure adherence to bank policies, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls.
- Encourage customers to adopt digital banking channels and self-service options.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Strong communication skills in English and the local/regional language.
- Basic proficiency in computers and familiarity with banking software/applications.
- Customer-centric mindset with a professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and work under pressure.
- Integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, sales, or customer service will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
Working Hours
- Full-time position.
- Working hours as per SBI branch operations, typically 6 days a week with rotational holidays, subject to business requirements and regulatory norms.
