Job Summary

OceanGlide Cruises is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maritime Training Centre Assistant to support our Cruise Readiness Programs. This role is vital in ensuring that all onboard crew members receive comprehensive training, certifications, and resources to deliver world-class service and safety standards at sea. The ideal candidate will assist trainers, manage training schedules, maintain training records, and coordinate logistics for both in-person and virtual learning sessions. This position is perfect for individuals with strong organizational skills, a passion for maritime operations, and a desire to contribute to a globally recognized cruise line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating maritime training programs for crew members.

  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and documentation for all staff participants.

  • Support trainers in conducting practical exercises, workshops, and assessments.

  • Coordinate training schedules, classroom assignments, and online learning modules.

  • Prepare and distribute training materials, manuals, and safety guides.

  • Liaise with different departments to ensure seamless training operations.

  • Monitor and report on trainee progress and program effectiveness.

  • Assist in the maintenance of training equipment, simulators, and other resources.

  • Support the administration team in audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Hospitality, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with maritime regulations and safety standards is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in administrative support, training coordination, or maritime operations is preferred.

  • Prior exposure to cruise or hospitality operations is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time role, typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Flexibility required to support training events, workshops, or urgent operational needs.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Technologically adept, including familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
