Job Summary

The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems across a variety of projects. This role requires creativity, precision, and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into manufacturable solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools, primarily SolidWorks.

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation for manufacturing.

  • Collaborate with product development, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

  • Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and tolerance analyses to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness.

  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.

  • Continuously identify opportunities for design improvements, material optimization, and process efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Maintain accurate project records and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks, with a portfolio of mechanical design projects.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and mechanical systems.

  • Excellent understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering standards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial automation environment.

  • Hands-on experience with SolidWorks for creating complex assemblies, simulations, and technical drawings.

  • Experience in prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvement is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (flexible working hours may apply).

  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
