National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, invites applications for the position of Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) through GATE 2026. As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, selected candidates will undergo structured training and on-the-job exposure across NALCO’s mining, refinery, smelter, power, and corporate operations. Key Responsibilities

• Participate in a comprehensive training program covering core engineering and operational functions

• Assist senior engineers in planning, execution, monitoring, and optimization of projects and plant operations

• Support maintenance, production, quality control, and safety initiatives

• Analyze technical data, prepare reports, and recommend process improvements

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth execution of operational activities

• Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and cost-optimization initiatives

• Adapt to postings at various NALCO units across India as per organizational requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

Educational Qualification

• Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology in relevant disciplines such as:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Civil Engineering

  • Metallurgical Engineering

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Mining Engineering

  • Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering

• Candidates must have appeared for GATE 2026 in the corresponding discipline

Technical Skills

• Strong foundation in core engineering subjects

• Understanding of industrial processes, equipment, and systems

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, data, and specifications

• Familiarity with safety standards and quality practices

Experience

• Freshers are encouraged to apply

• No prior work experience is required

• Candidates with relevant internships or industrial training will have an added advantage

Working Hours

• Full-time position

• General shift hours, with flexibility based on plant/site operations

• May involve rotational shifts depending on department and location
