Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a dynamic and experienced Online ESL Tutor to deliver high-quality English language instruction to adult learners with a focus on business communication. The ideal candidate will help students develop confidence and proficiency in English for professional environments, including meetings, presentations, negotiations, and business correspondence. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while engaging with a diverse, global student base.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive one-on-one or group online English lessons tailored to adult learners’ professional needs.

• Develop personalized lesson plans focusing on business English vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, writing, and conversational skills.

• Assess students’ language proficiency and track progress to provide constructive feedback and learning recommendations.

• Utilize digital tools, teaching platforms, and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences.

• Foster a positive and motivating online classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.

• Collaborate with the curriculum team to continuously improve course content and teaching methodologies.

• Maintain timely communication with students regarding scheduling, lesson updates, and progress reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Linguistics, Education, TESOL, or a related field.

• TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent certification required.

• Proven experience teaching English as a second language, preferably to adult learners in professional contexts.

• Strong understanding of business English terminology, communication strategies, and workplace etiquette.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

• Proficiency in online teaching tools and virtual classroom platforms.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–3 years of ESL teaching experience.

• Experience in corporate or adult education settings preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to tailor lessons to diverse learner needs and proficiency levels.

Working Hours

• Flexible remote schedule; peak hours may include mornings and evenings based on student locations.

• Ability to commit to at least 20 hours per week.

• Some weekend sessions may be required based on student demand.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep understanding of adult learning principles and language acquisition strategies.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and lesson plans.

• Patience, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity for working with learners from various countries.
