Job Summary

beGalileo is seeking passionate and knowledgeable Online Math Tutors to deliver engaging, concept-driven instruction to students in Grades 6–12. This freelance role is ideal for educators who enjoy simplifying complex mathematical concepts, leveraging digital teaching tools, and inspiring students to build confidence and academic excellence in mathematics. The tutor will conduct live virtual sessions, monitor student progress, and contribute to a high-quality remote learning experience aligned with modern STEM education standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interactive online math tutoring sessions for students in Grades 6–12.

• Explain mathematical concepts clearly using visual aids, real-world examples, and problem-solving strategies.

• Assess student learning needs and customize lesson plans accordingly.

• Assign and review homework, quizzes, and practice exercises.

• Track student performance and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

• Maintain accurate session records and progress reports.

• Use digital teaching platforms, whiteboards, and learning management systems effectively.

• Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and independent learning habits.

• Stay updated with curriculum changes and modern math teaching methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command of middle and high school mathematics (Grades 6–12).

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, student-friendly manner.

• Proficiency with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, digital whiteboards, etc.).

• Strong classroom management skills in a virtual environment.

• Reliable internet connection and a professional home teaching setup.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of math teaching or tutoring experience preferred.

• Prior experience in online tutoring or EdTech platforms is an advantage.

• Experience working with international curricula (CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE/IB/US Common Core) is desirable.

• Freshers with exceptional subject mastery and teaching aptitude may be considered.

Working Hours

• Flexible freelance schedule.

• Evening and weekend availability is highly preferred to match student time zones.

• Session duration typically ranges from 45 to 60 minutes per class.
