Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Online Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Academic Tutor to support students in achieving academic success through high-quality virtual instruction. In this role, you will deliver expert guidance, clarify complex concepts, create learning materials, and provide personalized academic support across assigned subjects. You will play a key part in helping learners build confidence, deepen understanding, and improve performance through interactive online sessions and well-structured educational content.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual or group online tutoring sessions in your specialized academic subjects.

• Develop clear explanations, examples, practice questions, and study resources to aid student learning.

• Assist students with coursework, assignments, exam preparation, and concept reinforcement.

• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development.

• Implement effective virtual teaching methods to engage students and improve comprehension.

• Respond to student inquiries through email, chat, or scheduled calls in a timely manner.

• Maintain accurate records of sessions, learning plans, and student performance.

• Collaborate with the academic team to update learning frameworks, curriculum content, and teaching strategies.

• Ensure all tutoring services align with OneTech Associates’ quality and professionalism standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject area (e.g., Math, Science, English, Business, IT, Computer Science, etc.).

• Strong knowledge and mastery of the subject matter with the ability to explain topics clearly.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to create structured learning materials and simplify complex concepts.

• Confidence using online teaching tools, virtual classroom platforms, and educational technology.

• Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple students and priorities.

• Professional, patient, and student-focused approach.

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of tutoring, teaching, academic coaching, or SME experience (online or in-person).

• Experience working with diverse learners, grade levels, or adult students is preferred.

• Familiarity with standardized tests, academic frameworks, or curriculum development is a plus.

Working Hours

• Flexible, remote-based schedule depending on student demand and tutoring subjects.

• Part-time or full-time availability accepted.

• Must be able to commit to consistent weekly hours and scheduled sessions.
