Job Summary

ShipFast Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless coordination across transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and client service functions. This role requires strong leadership, operational planning, and problem-solving abilities to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high service quality. The Operations Manager will play a key part in leading teams, improving daily processes, and ensuring on-time, accurate delivery performance across all logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehouse management, and order fulfillment.

• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.

• Monitor shipment schedules, routing, and carrier performance to ensure timely deliveries.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow between logistics, procurement, and customer service departments.

• Manage inventory accuracy through effective cycle counts, stock audits, and process optimization.

• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and local transportation laws.

• Track and analyze operational KPIs, preparing regular reports for senior management.

• Identify operational risks and develop corrective action plans.

• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize supply chain partnerships.

• Lead, train, and motivate logistics staff to meet performance expectations and operational goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and warehousing operations.

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Experience

• 4–7 years of experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or a similar field.

• Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory position within logistics is preferred.

• Experience in route planning, warehouse operations, and vendor management is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.

• Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

• Additional hours may be required during peak seasons or urgent operational demands.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes.

• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

• Ability to implement continuous improvement practices (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).

• Skilled in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and cost control.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle operational challenges effectively.

• Strong leadership mindset with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams.
