Job Summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is a place where imagination comes to life, and we are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused Part-Time Retail Staff to join our team. In this role, you will help create magical experiences for guests by guiding them through the interactive bear-making process, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile and a personalized keepsake. You will play a key part in building memories, delivering outstanding service, and maintaining a fun, engaging store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage customers warmly, delivering an exceptional guest experience.

  • Assist guests in choosing, customizing, and creating their furry friends.

  • Operate cash registers, process transactions, and handle payments accurately.

  • Support daily store operations, including restocking, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness.

  • Meet individual and store sales goals by promoting add-on products and special offers.

  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth store operations and uphold company standards.

  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and resolve concerns in a professional and friendly manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a cheerful, outgoing personality.

  • Ability to engage with children and families in a fun and professional way.

  • Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions.

  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask in a busy retail environment.

  • Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude.

Experience

  • Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Freshers and students with a passion for customer interaction are welcome to apply.

Working Hours

  • Part-time role with flexible scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

  • Average 15–25 hours per week depending on business needs.
