Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Principal Architect – Remote SaaS Infrastructure to lead the design, evolution, and optimization of our large-scale cloud-based platforms. This strategic role is responsible for defining the long-term technical architecture of our SaaS ecosystem, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance across global operations.

As a Principal Architect, you will serve as a trusted technical authority, working closely with executive leadership, product managers, engineering teams, and DevOps professionals to align business goals with modern cloud-native architectures. You will drive innovation, set engineering standards, and mentor senior engineers while ensuring that our infrastructure remains future-proof and cost-efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture for enterprise-grade SaaS platforms.

• Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud infrastructures.

• Establish architectural principles, best practices, and technical standards.

• Lead cloud strategy across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.

• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve system performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Oversee system security, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

• Drive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Review and guide technical designs, code quality, and system integrations.

• Mentor senior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Deep understanding of microservices, containerization, and distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and service mesh technologies.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).

• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Solid background in system security, identity management, and data protection.

• Experience with high-traffic, mission-critical SaaS platforms.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.

Experience

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.

• 5+ years in senior or principal-level architecture positions.

• Proven track record of designing and scaling large SaaS platforms.

• Experience working in remote, globally distributed teams.

• Prior leadership or mentorship experience is highly desirable.
