Job Summary

The University of Phoenix is seeking a passionate and experienced Remote Adjunct Instructor in Psychology to join our dynamic team of educators dedicated to shaping the future of adult learners. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and interactive online lectures and discussions in accordance with the University’s curriculum and standards.

  • Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, discussions, and examinations.

  • Provide timely, constructive, and personalized feedback to students to encourage learning and academic growth.

  • Maintain regular communication with students through virtual platforms, ensuring responsiveness and support throughout the course.

  • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and digital tools to manage course materials, grades, and student interactions effectively.

  • Stay current with developments in the field of psychology and integrate relevant research, case studies, and examples into coursework.

  • Uphold the University’s academic policies, code of ethics, and instructional standards.

  • Participate in periodic faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in Psychology or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 18 graduate-level credit hours in psychology.

  • Prior teaching experience at the college or university level, preferably in an online environment.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using online teaching platforms such as Blackboard, Canvas, or similar LMS systems.

  • Ability to engage students in diverse learning environments and accommodate different learning styles.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to meet academic deadlines.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience in higher education (online or on-campus).

  • Experience in adult education or working with non-traditional learners is highly preferred.

  • Professional or research experience in psychology or related fields will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Flexible, remote teaching schedule based on course assignments.

  • Instructors are expected to be available for student communication, grading, and virtual office hours throughout the term.

  • Courses may be scheduled across various time zones to accommodate students nationwide.
