Job Summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Remote Administrative Coordinator – Healthcare to provide vital administrative and operational support to our healthcare teams and community programs. In this role, you will ensure smooth coordination between departments, manage essential documentation, schedule appointments, assist with data entry, and help maintain compliance with healthcare protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to healthcare and clinical operations teams, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient communication.

  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and virtual appointments for internal teams and external partners.

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining reports, records, and confidential healthcare data.

  • Support patient outreach efforts and help maintain compliance with healthcare documentation standards.

  • Manage and track incoming communications, including emails, phone calls, and internal messages, ensuring timely responses.

  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline administrative workflows and maintain high operational standards.

  • Assist with onboarding, training coordination, and resource management for staff and volunteers.

  • Perform data entry, file management, and document review using electronic health and administrative systems.

  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives supporting the organization’s humanitarian and healthcare missions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in administrative coordination, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and experience with database or scheduling software.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role within healthcare, medical office management, or nonprofit environments.

  • Experience in handling healthcare-related records and scheduling systems is a plus.

  • Prior remote work experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours to support work-life balance.
