Job Summary
HR Talent Solutions is seeking a highly detail-oriented and certified Remote Bookkeeper – AU Tax & BAS Support to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeping professional with strong knowledge of Australian taxation, BAS preparation, and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing day-to-day financial records, supporting clients with accurate reporting, and ensuring full compliance with Australian accounting standards and ATO regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for Australian clients.

Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), IAS, and other statutory reports.

Perform bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management.

Process payroll, including superannuation and PAYG.

Ensure compliance with ATO regulations, GST, and Australian accounting standards.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Assist with tax preparation and liaise with external accountants and auditors.

Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues efficiently.

Provide financial insights and bookkeeping support to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Certification in Bookkeeping or Accounting (preferred: Australian-recognized certification).

BAS Agent registration or strong experience in BAS preparation.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.

Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws, GST, and payroll compliance.

Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines independently.
Experience

Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.

Proven experience handling Australian clients and BAS reporting.

Prior experience in a remote or virtual accounting role is an advantage.

Experience working with SMEs, startups, or accounting firms is preferred.
Working Hours
