Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Corporate Counsel – Intellectual Property Focus to join our global legal team. This role is critical in safeguarding the company’s intellectual property assets while supporting business growth, innovation, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will act as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership, product teams, and commercial stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on IP matters, contracts, and corporate legal risks in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

As a key contributor, you will oversee the development, protection, and enforcement of our IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, while ensuring that all legal practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end legal support on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and trade secrets.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex technology, software, and IP-related agreements (NDAs, licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, joint development agreements).
• Manage the company’s global IP portfolio, including filings, renewals, and enforcement actions.
• Advise internal stakeholders on IP strategy, risk mitigation, and compliance.
• Support product development teams on IP clearance, freedom-to-operate analyses, and innovation protection.
• Handle disputes related to IP infringement, collaborating with external counsel when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with international IP laws and regulations.
• Assist with M&A transactions, due diligence, and IP asset valuation.
• Develop internal policies and training programs on IP awareness and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in intellectual property law, particularly in technology and software industries.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for commercial and IP-related contracts.
• Ability to interpret complex legal frameworks and translate them into practical business advice.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, global environment.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management systems.

Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one recognized jurisdiction.
• 6+ years of experience as a corporate or IP counsel, preferably within a technology or multinational organization.
• Proven experience managing IP portfolios and complex commercial agreements.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position.
