Job Summary

Osmosis, part of Elsevier, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Remote Course Developer – Medical Education to design and develop engaging, evidence-based learning materials for medical and healthcare students worldwide. The ideal candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to create high-quality, learner-centered online content that aligns with medical education standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, structure, and edit online medical education courses, modules, and assessments in alignment with Osmosis’ learning standards and objectives.

  • Collaborate with physicians, medical educators, and academic experts to ensure scientific accuracy and pedagogical soundness.

  • Translate complex medical concepts into accessible, engaging, and visually supported learning materials.

  • Design curriculum flow and implement effective learning strategies based on instructional design principles and cognitive learning theories.

  • Conduct quality checks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with accreditation standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including content writers, animators, and editors to produce interactive and multimedia-rich course content.

  • Monitor learner feedback and update course materials as necessary to maintain relevance and accuracy.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital learning experiences using data-driven insights.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Medicine, Medical Education, Biomedical Sciences, or a related healthcare field.

  • Proven experience in course or curriculum development for higher education, ideally in a medical or healthcare context.

  • Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, or backward design.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex medical information.

  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, or similar platforms.

  • Knowledge of evidence-based teaching practices and adult learning principles.

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities with attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in medical or health science education, curriculum design, or e-learning development.

  • Experience working with academic institutions, medical schools, or healthcare organizations is preferred.

  • Prior experience with digital learning platforms or educational media creation is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • This is a remote full-time position with flexible working hours.

  • Employees are expected to maintain communication and collaboration across time zones as needed.
