Job Summary
Blackboard is seeking a highly organized and experienced E-Learning Project Manager to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and delivery of innovative online learning programs. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and ensure that e-learning projects meet educational standards, budgetary goals, and client expectations. This remote role requires an individual who is both strategic and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple digital education initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and deliver e-learning projects from concept to completion while ensuring scope, budget, and schedule are maintained.

Collaborate with instructional designers, content developers, subject matter experts, and technical teams to ensure quality and consistency.

Define project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.

Use project management tools (such as Asana, Trello, or Jira) to track progress and manage communication among stakeholders.

Identify risks, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Coordinate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and ensure all project milestones are achieved.

Conduct regular project status meetings, updates, and performance reviews.

Ensure compliance with Blackboard’s quality assurance standards and e-learning best practices.

Oversee testing and feedback processes to enhance user experience and learner engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Education Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.

Proven experience in managing online learning, digital education, or LMS implementation projects.

Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard Learn, Moodle, or Canvas.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).

Ability to work collaboratively with remote and cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and e-learning development tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.) is a plus.
Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the e-learning or education technology industry.

Experience with large-scale online education initiatives and remote team management is highly desirable.
