Job Summary

Amplify Education is seeking a passionate and experienced Remote Instructional Coach – Literacy to support educators in implementing effective literacy instruction across diverse learning environments. As an Instructional Coach, you will collaborate closely with teachers, school leaders, and district administrators to strengthen literacy practices, improve student outcomes, and promote evidence-based teaching strategies. This role requires strong knowledge of literacy frameworks, coaching methodologies, and virtual collaboration tools to drive instructional excellence in both synchronous and asynchronous settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual coaching and professional development to teachers and instructional leaders focused on literacy instruction.

• Observe classroom practices (live or recorded) and offer constructive feedback to enhance instructional effectiveness.

• Facilitate workshops, webinars, and learning sessions aligned with Amplify’s literacy programs and district goals.

• Support schools in analyzing literacy assessment data to identify trends, learning gaps, and targeted areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with curriculum designers and product teams to ensure instructional practices align with Amplify’s literacy materials.

• Build strong relationships with school leaders and educators to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Develop individualized coaching plans and track teacher growth and student literacy progress over time.

• Maintain detailed documentation of coaching interactions and progress reports.

• Stay updated on current literacy research, standards, and best practices to continuously refine coaching strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Reading, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Valid teaching certification with a focus on literacy, reading, or English language arts.

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in literacy instruction at the elementary or secondary level.

• Proven success in coaching or mentoring educators, preferably in literacy or curriculum implementation.

• Strong understanding of literacy development, phonics, comprehension, writing, and assessment strategies.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to engage with educators and administrators virtually.

• Ability to use digital coaching and collaboration tools effectively (Zoom, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

• Familiarity with Amplify’s literacy programs or similar K–12 literacy curricula is a plus.

Experience

• 3–5 years of teaching or instructional leadership experience.

• Prior experience as a literacy coach, instructional specialist, or curriculum consultant preferred.

• Experience supporting remote or hybrid learning environments strongly desired.

Working Hours

• Flexible remote schedule based on school and district needs.

• Must be available during standard school hours in assigned time zones.

• Occasional evening or weekend sessions may be required for professional development events or client support.

• Deep knowledge of K–12 literacy standards and instructional frameworks.

• Ability to build trust and rapport with educators in diverse school settings.

• Skilled in data-driven instruction and assessment interpretation.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills for managing multiple coaching engagements.

• Adaptability to work independently while maintaining high accountability in a remote environment.
