Job Summary

TechPro Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Legal Counsel – Tech Contracts & Privacy to support our growing global technology operations. This role is critical in ensuring that our contractual frameworks, data protection practices, and compliance standards align with international legal requirements and industry best practices.

As a Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, product teams, and external partners, providing legal guidance on commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of technology-related contracts, including SaaS agreements, licensing, NDAs, MSAs, SLAs, and vendor contracts.
• Provide legal support on data protection and privacy matters, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy frameworks.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks related to software products, cloud services, AI solutions, and digital platforms.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, legal policies, and compliance documentation.
• Support risk management initiatives by identifying potential legal exposures and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and procurement teams to enable business growth while ensuring legal compliance.
• Monitor changes in technology law, privacy regulations, and industry standards, and provide updates to leadership.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel when required.
• Assist with intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and software licensing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Qualified to practice law in at least one recognized jurisdiction.
• Strong expertise in technology contracts, commercial law, and data privacy regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal writing skills.
• Ability to interpret complex legal concepts and translate them into practical business advice.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with global teams.

Experience

• Minimum of 4–7 years of professional legal experience, preferably in technology, SaaS, fintech, or digital services.
• Proven experience handling commercial contracts and data protection matters.
• Prior experience in an in-house legal role within a tech company is highly desirable.
• Experience working with international clients and cross-border legal frameworks is a strong advantage.

Working Hours
