Job Summary

Fresher Jobs Hub is seeking a detail-oriented and certified Remote Medical Coder to join our growing healthcare documentation team. This role involves reviewing clinical documentation and assigning standard codes for diagnoses and procedures to ensure accurate billing and compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate must possess a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Working remotely, you will contribute to improving billing accuracy and supporting healthcare providers in maintaining regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records and documents for accurate coding.

• Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

• Participate in regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and consistency.

• Stay updated with the latest changes in coding standards and healthcare billing practices.

• Support in process improvement initiatives to enhance coding efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.

• Good understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and coding software.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting clinical documentation.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in medical coding preferred.

• Freshers with relevant certification and strong knowledge of coding principles are encouraged to apply.
