Job Summary
InfoTech Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Medical Scribe to join our team supporting Emergency Room (ER) clinics during night shifts. In this role, you will work closely with physicians and healthcare providers to document patient encounters accurately in real-time. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates excellent medical knowledge, and ensures that patient records are precise, timely, and compliant with healthcare regulations.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to critical healthcare operations from the comfort of your home while supporting emergency medical teams during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient histories, physical exams, procedures, and clinical notes in electronic health records (EHR) during ER shifts.
- Follow the physician’s workflow and enter clinical information in real-time to ensure timely documentation.
- Assist healthcare providers by retrieving lab results, imaging reports, and other pertinent patient information.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Review and edit documentation for clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Adapt quickly to changes in patient volume and clinical priorities during high-pressure emergency situations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and ER workflows.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy.
- Excellent listening, comprehension, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage high-volume patient documentation efficiently.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
Experience
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a medical scribe, healthcare documentation specialist, or clinical support role preferred.
- Experience in emergency medicine or acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Previous remote work experience is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Night shift schedule, typically from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, supporting ER clinics.
- Full-time role with flexibility to accommodate occasional shift adjustments as needed.
