Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Remote Mining Data Analyst to join our Resource Strategy team. This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting mining and geological data to support strategic decisions in resource management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, mining operations, and predictive modeling, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze geological, operational, and financial mining data to support resource strategy and optimization.

• Develop predictive models and data visualizations to forecast resource trends, production rates, and operational efficiencies.

• Collaborate with mining engineers, geologists, and operations managers to ensure data-driven decision-making.

• Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for cost reduction and resource maximization.

• Generate comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and executive stakeholders.

• Maintain and improve mining data management systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity.

• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in mining analytics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, or similar platforms.

• Experience with mining software such as Surpac, Datamine, or Micromine.

• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and presentation skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mining analytics, resource modeling, or data-driven operational support.

• Proven experience in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization.

• Prior experience in remote work environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams is advantageous.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position with flexible working hours.

• Must be able to coordinate with international teams across different time zones.
