Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Mining Data Analyst – Resource Strategy to support data-driven decision-making across mining and resource optimization initiatives. This role is responsible for transforming complex geological, operational, and production datasets into actionable insights that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen long-term resource planning. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative skills with a solid understanding of mining operations and strategic analysis in a remote, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze mining, geological, and production datasets to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, models, and reports to support resource strategy and planning.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including geology, operations, and finance to align data insights with business goals.

• Perform predictive analytics and scenario modeling for resource forecasting and mine planning.

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across multiple data sources.

• Automate data workflows and reporting processes to improve efficiency.

• Support strategic initiatives such as cost optimization, production forecasting, and reserve estimation.

• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, business-friendly formats.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mining Engineering, Geology, Statistics, or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.

• Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).

• Solid understanding of mining operations, resource estimation, or commodity markets.

• Advanced Excel and data modeling capabilities.

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within mining, natural resources, energy, or heavy industry.

• Proven experience working with large, complex datasets.

• Experience supporting strategic planning or operational optimization initiatives is highly preferred.

• Prior remote work experience is an advantage.
