Job Summary

VIPKid is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and qualified educators to join our global team of online English teachers. As a Remote Online English Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, one-on-one English lessons to K–12 students, primarily based in China and other international locations. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education, cultural exchange, and helping young learners build confidence and fluency in English. Working from the comfort of your home, you’ll have the flexibility to design your teaching schedule and inspire students across the world to achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging, interactive, and personalized online English lessons to students aged 4–15 years.

• Follow VIPKid’s curriculum and teaching guidelines to ensure consistent learning outcomes.

• Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and encourage participation in class activities.

• Utilize digital teaching tools and visual aids to create a fun and immersive virtual classroom environment.

• Communicate effectively with parents and support staff regarding student progress and class performance.

• Maintain accurate records of lesson delivery, attendance, and student engagement.

• Continuously enhance teaching techniques through VIPKid’s training and professional development resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (required).

• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (preferred but not mandatory).

• Native or near-native fluency in English with excellent pronunciation and grammar.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with young learners.

• Basic proficiency with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, or proprietary systems).

• A quiet, well-lit teaching environment with a stable internet connection, webcam, and headset.

Experience

• Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience preferred (online or classroom-based).

• Experience working with children (K–12) is highly desirable.

• Entry-level applicants passionate about education and eager to learn are also welcome to apply.

Working Hours

• Flexible scheduling – you can set your own hours based on your availability.

• Peak teaching times align with evenings and weekends in Beijing Time (UTC+8).

• Minimum of 6 teaching hours per week is recommended for active engagement.

• Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit different age groups and proficiency levels.
