Job Summary
The American Red Cross is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Patient Access Representative (Part-Time) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient, compassionate, and accurate patient support services, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient inquiries. Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone, email, or virtual communication platforms.

Schedule patient appointments, collect and verify insurance and personal information accurately.

Maintain and update patient records in compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards.

Assist patients in understanding their care process, available services, and billing details.

Coordinate with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure timely patient access to services.

Handle patient concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

Track and report on scheduling trends, cancellations, and patient feedback for process improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certification in healthcare administration is preferred.

Proven experience in a patient-facing, customer service, or administrative role within a healthcare or call center environment.

Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Experience

Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in healthcare administration, medical scheduling, or a similar field.

Working Hours
