Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote PHP/Laravel Developer – E-commerce Specialist to join our growing digital engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performing e-commerce platforms that support our global client base. You will work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless online shopping experiences that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable e-commerce applications using PHP and Laravel.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and CRM systems.

• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability for high-traffic environments.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Implement database schemas and manage data using MySQL or similar relational databases.

• Conduct code reviews, write clean and well-documented code, and follow best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.

• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in PHP with extensive experience using the Laravel framework.

• Solid understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming principles.

• Experience with e-commerce platforms, workflows, and integrations.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end concepts.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.

• Knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL and database optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

• Understanding of web security best practices (authentication, authorization, data protection).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in PHP development.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Laravel in production environments.

• Proven experience working on e-commerce projects (B2C or B2B platforms).

• Experience in remote or distributed teams is a strong advantage.

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.

• Flexible working hours with overlap required for team collaboration.
