Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong expertise in Django and Flask to join our fast-growing FinTech SaaS division. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, optimizing, and scaling secure, high-performing financial applications used by global clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement best coding practices, and drive architectural decisions that ensure the reliability and innovation of our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using Python (Django/Flask frameworks).
• Architect scalable systems to support high-volume financial transactions and real-time data processing.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and financial service providers.
• Lead code review processes and mentor junior developers to maintain high engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve complex technical issues across the application lifecycle.
• Implement robust security measures, including data encryption, secure authentication, and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, Data, and QA teams to deliver sustainable and scalable solutions.
• Contribute to architectural planning, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python with deep experience in Django and Flask frameworks.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing practices (pytest, unit tests).
• Familiarity with secure coding techniques and FinTech regulatory considerations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile development environment.

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Python.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Django or Flask in production systems.
• Experience developing or supporting FinTech, SaaS, or other high-security, high-availability platforms is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of contributing to system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.

Working Hours

• Fully remote role with flexible working hours.
• Core collaboration hours between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (UTC) may be required for team syncs.
• Occasional availability for urgent production issues, depending on business needs.
