Job Summary

HR Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Shopify Developer – E-commerce Maintenance to join our growing digital team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing Shopify-based e-commerce stores to ensure seamless performance, high availability, and an exceptional user experience. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and marketing teams to implement updates, troubleshoot technical issues, and continuously improve the functionality and scalability of online stores.

This is a fully remote position, ideal for a proactive developer who enjoys solving real-world e-commerce challenges and contributing to business growth through technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing Shopify stores, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and security.

• Develop, customize, and update Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Implement new features, integrations, and third-party apps to enhance store functionality.

• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and compatibility problems.

• Optimize store speed, SEO structure, and mobile responsiveness.

• Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Perform regular testing, monitoring, and quality assurance checks.

• Ensure best practices in code quality, version control, and documentation.

• Manage data migrations, backups, and minor upgrades as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience with Shopify platform development and maintenance.

• Proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations.

• Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

• Familiarity with SEO best practices for e-commerce platforms.

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git preferred).

• Ability to debug, test, and optimize performance issues.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Shopify development or e-commerce web development.

• Proven track record of maintaining and optimizing live Shopify stores.

• Experience working in remote or distributed teams is a plus.

• Prior experience in fast-paced e-commerce or digital agencies is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Fully remote role with flexible working hours.

• Standard workload: 40 hours per week, with occasional flexibility for urgent support tasks.
