Job Summary
InfoTech Solutions is seeking an experienced Remote Solar Energy Project Manager to lead and oversee solar energy projects across the Western United States. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from initial site assessment and design through permitting, construction, and commissioning. This role demands a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership, and stakeholder management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
As a key member of our renewable energy team, you will work remotely while coordinating with internal teams, contractors, utility partners, and clients to drive the growth of sustainable solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead solar energy projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance.

Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

Coordinate with engineers, designers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.

Manage project budgets, track costs, and provide regular financial reporting to stakeholders.

Oversee permitting, inspection, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing timely updates.

Implement best practices in solar project management to improve efficiency, safety, and performance.

Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.

Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.

Proven experience managing large-scale solar energy or renewable energy projects in the U.S.

Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical infrastructure, and construction processes.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal renewable energy regulations and permitting processes.
Experience

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in project management within the solar or renewable energy sector.

Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex solar projects on time and within budget.

Experience coordinating remote teams and working across multiple project sites is preferred.
Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Standard business hours with flexibility to accommodate project needs, client meetings, and site visits.

Occasional travel to project sites within the Western United States (up to 20–30% of the time).
